It is the last day of 2016. Got the other post's on Liem's Blogs that is not the Independent Food Critic post's. 2016 had not been a good year since my mom had died back in April same with the two pets we had. My mom was mostly the important one to me. Got about over 300 post's by now with a total with the Independent Food Critic Post's makes it by 62 with this one about 63. Independent Food Critic: Cracker Barrel

Yesterday from now had ate at the Cracker Barrel from now in St. Joe, Mo. Cracker barrel is a country them store and restaurant that I do take for granted. Had their chicken and dumplings with Mac and cheese and Mashed potatoes and gravy as my sides. The chicken and dumplings where pretty good. Mac and Cheese was OK. Did not care much for the Mashed potatoes and gravy. Did not really like their country gravy. Mostly Cracker Barrel something to go to when you are on the road. For Cracker Barrel 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5. More reviews soon. For now keep on eating!

Independent Food Critic:Thirsty Thursday Christmas Soda

 

It is a Thirsty Thursday Christmas post. Where I share a Christmas drink for this time of year. Christmas Soda where it is a popular soda in Sweden around Christmas time say they out sales Coke a Cola their during this time of the year. It's OK pretty much has a taste I can not compare to. It is from Grandpa Lundquist. You half to try it yourself to know what it taste like to you. It is something I well drink one a year around this time of year. Got it at KC Soda Co at Legends outlet and same with other season Christmas sodas I had not try yet

 

Got other sodas to have around Christmas time such as Ginger Bread Man and Ginger bread house

Have that season drink then having a thing of Eggnog. Have yourself a Christmas Soda for this time of year. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Independent Food Critic!

Christmas Tree Layout 2016

 

Last year from now started off doing a Christmas Tree Village with a train sit going around it. Did it again this year made some changes on it. Was using a big star on the tree this year and replaced it with a small star. Got the video of that one with the train going around it. Using figures from the stop motion Rudolf the Red nosed reindeer got them at Marshalls the day after Christmas. Got the winter house on the side. My mom had died in April have a keepsake urn of her place between to nutcracker solders gardening her. Thinking about lighting a candle by it on Christmas Eve a real one or a fake one. This is the Christmas Tree layout this year. Might do another one for next year? Do switch it around some things I am always going to have that train going around it. Since it is something I always like around Christmas time to have a train around a Christmas tree.

Independent Food Critic: Thirsty Thursday Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer

 

It is another Thirsty Thursday. Where I share a drink on a Thursday once a week of so. Since with Fantastic Beast and Where to fine them is out now. Spin off from Harry Potter decided to share a drink that is similar to what they have in the Wizard World like Butter Beer. Flying Cauldron Butterscotch beer is mostly a butterscotch flavor cream soda. I had try it never really like butterscotch any way. If you really do like Butterscotch flavor this would be the drink for you. Over in Universal Studios do served Butterbeer at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. You can do their to get butterbeer. If not you can get it on Amazon got a botter of it from KC Soda Co. over in Legends Outlet. When it is still on stock.

Independent Food Critic: Chicken Now

 

This is the review for November today from now Chicken Now at Oak Park Mall Food Court. Doing a season job right now. Chicken Now's are a boneless chicken place that are found in Food Courts at Malls. Similar to Chick Fill A, Zaxby's and Raising Canes. Had the 3 chicken strip meal where it came with two sides. For my sides was fries and grill toasted. The chicken strips where little over done. Pretty descent size. The French fries are not really that great. More times I would stick with Zaxby's. When you are at the mall go some other places at the food court. Especially for your shopping that Christmas is coming.  For chicken Now would not have any rush to have. Last time had their chicken sandwich was a lot better. For Chicken Now 1 out of 5 I give it a 2 out of 5. Well be doing some more post soon. For now keep on eating!

Indepedent Food Critic: Fried Food Friday French Fries

 

It is a Fried Food Friday where I share some fried foods. It is French fries American side dish mostly like with your burger, Chicken sandwich, Chicken strips and all most any thing. Where it is cut up potato deep fried. Mostly served them at most of the fast food place's. Also something to snack on as well. Where most Americans eat French fries each day. That is my Fried Food Fridays. For now keep on eating!

Independent Food Critic: Thirsty Thurday Jones Sodas

I had not did a Thirsty Thursday in a long time where I share a drink to you. Right now it is Jones Soda clam to have real cane sugar in it like it is organic soda. I was into drinking Jones Sodas in my year in High school where it had all kinds of different flavors then other kinds of sodas do. Their are flavors I like their are flavors I don't like such as blue bubble gum and clear cream soda. Mostly the flavors I like are Root Beer, Orange cream soda and was into Green Apple that was a popular flavor. Where it taste like Green Apple. On the bottles they have photos where they can send to them and place them on their bottles. You can not have a pitcher of yourself on a Coke or Pepsi bottle. Notice it on the Discovery Channel show in the 2000's call Monster Garage where it is host by the outlaw biker builder name Jesse James from West Cost Choppers. Mostly get a bottle of it at Wal-Greens on my lunch break back in high school when they still had them their for a $. Been a independent company for 20 years by now. Jones Soda is part of my years when I am in High school same with SoBes in Jr high. This is the drink to share on Thirsty Thursday well do another one over a week or longer. For now stay Thirsty!

Independent Food Critic: Fried Food Friday Fried Ice Cream

This is the first Fried Food Friday where I share a food that is fried on a Friday over a week or longer.

 

Fried Food Friday starting off with Fried Ice Cream from El Porto. It was my Birthday yesterday gave me a thing of Fried Ice Cream in a fried cinnamon shell in it. Fried Ice Cream is a fried way to take up highly frozen Ice Cream cover it with something like nuts get it fried for a bit. Do have them in some Mexican Restraints and do also serve it at the KC Ren Fair as well. It is another take off of that frozen dairy treat we all like that is fried and has a coding with it. Something to have if you want desert after those tacos and burritos or gave it to me on my Birthday had me wear a sombrero sign me Happy Birthday. That would be some memories. Halloween 2016

Jack o Lanterns from this year.

 

This year in October went pretty fine. Got to do some spook post's during that month. Got about 10 post's on that month more then any other month of this year. Got to watch horror movies mostly in that month got to watch enlist one or few from each decade from the 1920's to the 2010's. In random order as always. Got to watch bits of every sub-genre of Horror. Think the 2010's was the decade I had watch from the most. Pretty much watch things I seen before and some I had not seen before. It was also the month I had watch movies the most. Only got a few trick or treaters that came in groups. Not as much from last year. Don't really get much of them where I live. Got to go as a Voodoo Man based from New Orleans and Haiti. Had on my mind would like to be in New Orleans on Halloween night in the French Quarter on Bourbon St. where they be full of people in customs and frowning out orange and black Mardi Gras beads. Even I had been in NOLA before a few times mostly was in March. Was not really depress this year besides had a few days before this month was not worrying about my mom dyeing since that happen already back in April of this year. That my mom's spirit could had made a visit on Halloween. Since that is what Halloween known as Al Hallows Eve that originated that spirits comes for a visit. Besides it's Day of the dead and All St. Day to light candles for love ones graves. Had shared some of the post's on a Support group for Halloween. Got some ideas for next year where I planning on reviewing Halloween specials. Are some of the ideas I had on mind.

The Halloween Tree Review

Got another Halloween one from Hanna-Barbera from the early 90's. It is call The Halloween Tree where it was based on a book by Ray Bradbury. The story takes place in a Mid-Western town that was into the celebration of Halloween. Group of 4 trick or treaters with the different costumes they go as for Halloween. While they are on their way to Pippen their friend who brought a lot of joy to their life. Notice he had been taken to the hospital with something he can die from. The four kids took a scary path way that lead to a old house. That in up meting with Mr. Moundshroud who in up being their guide and mostly like the main villain. Who was Voice by the late Leonard Nimoy known him as Spock in the original Star Trek. The Character had something he needs to do. The four kids notice about a Tree with Jack O lanterns. Mr. Moundshroud that creepy guy that dress like Dracula. Calls it a Halloween Tree where each of the Jack O Lanterns are a persons soul that had died. Saw their friends ghost with his Jack O Lantern. Go on a guide threw time to save him by each time period as the customs as they go as. To learn the origins of Halloween and each thing from their customs as they are. Such as Ancient Egypt for the one as a Mummy, The Dark Ages for the girl as a witch, Notre Dame for the one as a Gargoyle and Mexico on Dia de Muertos known as Day of the Dead for the one as a Skeleton. All by trying to save his friends life. That Mr. Moundshroud wont let them do. Even was the one that the he was guiding the kids. At the end they their friend did not died on his Jack O Lantern did not in up in The Halloween tree and Mr. Moundshroud in up in it and rotated away. For The Halloween Tree it is really creepy and educational to learn the origins of Halloween. The part where there in the catacombs in Mexico was the creepiest part in it. It is worth chickening it out where it dose have the spirit of Halloween in it. For The Halloween Tree 1 out of 5 Jack O Lanterns I would give it a 4 out of 5 Jack O Lanterns. The Last Halloween Review

Right now going to write a review on The Last Halloween. Where it was a TV special back in the early 90's. They don't show it any more. You can fine it on YouTube to watch. The Last Halloween is about two kids a brother and a sister. Where they had lost their mother years ago that the girl still wears that costume ever year that been made by her mother. Had fine four Martian's that had crash landed searching for Coobi know to them as Candy. Where it happens to be on Halloween? Kids father that had own a candy factory that still power by a water wheel. That the lake had dried up. Clam it had to be The Last Halloween in their town. The lake had been dried up by the two main villains in it. One is a made scientist woman trying to get internal youth and her Hench man that is like a Frankenstein kind of guy. Had took one of the aliens where it is Bing a yellow spring alien. Save him from those two and had those two arrested. Still had the lake dried up. Until that boy threw a stone that was giving by one of the aliens. Made the lake have water again. The four Martians got their Coobi. Learn about a mother's love from that little girl and they went back to Mares. Be back on Halloween. For The Last Halloween it is still pretty good. Something to watch with your kids. The aliens are down by early CGI that are cartoon like. This happens to be from Hanna-Barbera. Kind of do have something with Halloween in it. Besides candy had them in a commercial a year later for Halloween candy. When I was a child I did like it. Did wanted it to be longer and have a sequel for it. 1 out of 5. Jack o Lanterns I well give it a 4 Jack o Lanterns out of 5. Well be doing some more post's soon. Happy Halloween and Have a Scary Day!

Going to rank up the Top 6 Blood Sucking Animals. About animals that pray on blood they are the vampires of the animal kingdom to feed on the blood of other animals and even humans. This are the 6 I pick out.

While Suicide Squad had came out back in August where it had a group of villains from DC Comics. Do had one like that for Marvel Comics. Same with other things with a group of villains. Since it is October right now from now. Got the idea of taking the main villains from slasher movies have them as in a group call The Slasher Squad. Independent Food Critic: Myrtie Maes (Eureka Springs, Ar)

 

Right now I am in Arkansas. Today had ate at Myrtie Maes that is in a Best Western Motel. It is a pretty good place to eat at in Eureka Springs. It has a salad bar with the meal I had. It is a place that had been for a long time that had serves for fried chicken for a long time. Did not had the fried chicken their. Had the hot beef sandwich it was pretty good. Served it with mashed potatoes and gravy. The roast beef was pretty tender. Did had a bit of the possum pie that was really good. Not really a great place something to eat in Eureka Springs, Ar. Seems like it is pretty popular and it was something from the locals that like. For Myrtie Maes 1 out of 5 I give it a 4 out of 5. Well do some more post's soon For now keep on eating!

Halloween Layout

Had set up a Halloween Layout made it look like a fortune telling séance table. Had place a keep sake urn with my moms ash's in it. Did had the idea of making it like that part of The Haunted Manson Ride. Could not fine a crystal ball with a head in it. Made do with this one. Both fake and real candles and some Tarot cards laying out. Last year from now did a Christmas Layout with a small Christmas tress with a train set going around it. Be having that set up this year again. Be adding a bit more things soon by later years. This would do for now. Have a Scary Day!

Indepedent Food Critic: Pepperjax Grill

This is the review in October of this year from now. Today had ate at Pepperjax Grill that is by Legends in Kansas City, Ks. Had them at Omaha never ate at them before. Only thing they have are Philly's not really that good. Mostly like a Philly version of Chipotle is what is mostly like. Had a cheeses steak their as the Jax with a drink and fries. Do have all kinds of things to top that Philly with and that they are big size of their food for the sandwich and fries. Steak and their cheese was not really that good same with the fries. It was pretty prices my meal cost about $11. Think Charlies over at the Oak Park Mall food court was better then this place. Won't really come back their for a while to this place 1 out of 5 I give it a 2 out of 5. More views and other post's out soon.

Pumpkins from Last Halloween 2015

Right now I am in Lincoln, Ne this is the first time I had did 4 post's in a row. It is close to October where I do the Halloween and spoke blogs most of the month of October. Do have a few ideas right now to do. Watch Horror movies from every sub genres of horror from the 1920's to the 2010's. Mostly the same as always. This year I am watching a bit of both ones I seen before and ones I had not seen before or in a long time. Last year in October I was dealing with depression of the fear that my mom had died. Just deal with that horror back in April when she had died. Need to let on with life. Independent Food Critic: Lee's Chicken Restaurant (Lincoln, Ne)

Tonight from now had ate at a place over in Lincoln, Ne that is close to Pioneer Park. It looks like it had been their for a long time the way it looks really old on the outside and in the inside. Had a big chicken on a pole in the parking lot of the place. Got the pitcher of it. Lee's is pretty much a old place where it have old things in it and a old guy playing the piano their. I had the 3 piece southern fried chicken with the two side mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. The chicken was all right mostly fried chicken mostly crispy and the same with the two sides I have. More time's I would stick with KFC and even Stroud's in Kansas City, Mo. It is still worth trying mostly fried chicken is what it is. Don't really have any spices to it. Mostly the big chicken on the pole is a popular to customers. It's not really any thing I have a rush to go back to. For Lee's 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5. Independent Food Critic: Amigos/Kings Classic

Just ate at another place that is mostly in Nebraska it is a combination of two place's as one. Amigos and Kings Classic had ate at the kings classic. Had their Cheese frenchy combo. The Cheese frenchy is another type of sandwich that is known in Nebraska same with the RUNZA stuff sandwich apishly in Omaha. The Cheese frenchy is a deep fried breaded cheese sandwich. One of the place's I get them in Omaha is Don and Millies. It was not really big with their cheese frenchy pretty much a cheese frenchy. Rather get the ones at Don and Millies or make them myself at home. The French fries are stale grease fries almost bad as the ones at LJ's. This place is not any thing I would go back to as much. Was not really another filling meal. Think I go for RUNZA better then this place. Their food was a bit better. For the Kings Classic part 1out of 5 I give it a 2 out of 5. Indepednet Food Critic: RUNZA

Right now I am in Lincoln, Ne. Today had ate at a RUNZA. They are a region chain place in Nebraska and a few states that is close to Nebraska. Known for serving stuff sandwich's that originated in Germany that is stuff with meat and cabbage. Mostly eating by Husker fans. Did not had one when I was their. Had a double cheese burger combo. It was alright probably has the same type of hamburger they use in their staff sandwich's. Not really a filling meal the French fries where pretty good. I even hardly ate at one when I was still living in my home town of Council Bluffs, Ia that happens to be on the other side of Omaha. RUNZA is nothing any thing special just a fast food place that is not really filling. For RUNZA 1 out of 5 I give it a 3 out of 5. Well be doing more place's to review and For now keep on eating!

Top 5 Star Trek technology

 

The 301 post. Right now Star Trek in it's 50th year. My mom was original Trekkie. She was into Spock. Pretty much do like Star Trek. Especially the technology from it. That I would want in real life. Some of it became realty. Such as automatic open doors at some stores, The Flip Phones we had in the 2000's they are like the communicators they have in the show that lead to the smart phone and tablets. Got the 5 Tech's from Star Trek pretty much in the original series and Next Gen. The ones I pick out are pretty much the things we don't have yet.

Liem's Blogs 300th post

 

 

Right now this is the 300 post's on Liem's Blogs on Blogger. Did mange to keep posting things on this site got up to 300. Even if it's only a few people I know in person apishly as Independent Food Critic where I review places I eat ate. Getting up to 300 is pretty much a lot of post's I did ever since back in March of 2012. The first two on that day was sharing a Famous Davies BBQ review. Just ate their last night from now and a first time on Blogger. Been posting things about food, pop coulter and any thing I am into during that time. Do pay respect this year with 3 memorial post's of Sophie are cat, Donna L. Brooks known as Laura Ann in the SCA happens to be my mom and Max one of are pugs had died. My post's are not really main stream out to much in public. Do get some views on it. Mostly the ones I know in person do view them know me pretty well with it apishly place's I eat at to do reviews on. Doing that and posting things is something I still do. Even if I don't do it much as I had before. Did the most post's back in 2012. For the ones who views them Thanks for viewing. Even if I have 300 still even more to come would get up to 400, 500 and even a 1000 if this site would be able to get up that much post's? For now keep on viewing!   

Independent Food Critic: Noodles & Company

 

 

This is the review I have in September from now and the first post of the month. Had went by the Noodles and Company over by Legends in Kansas City, Ks. Been eating at the one a few times at the Oak Park Mall when I am doing a season job around Christmas. Noodles and Company is a international noodle restraint that has a different kinds of noodles in different coulters around the world. Had the small Mac and Cheese with meatballs and a small chicken noodle soup. Soup was OK. The mac and cheese with the meatballs not have the sauce mix in with it. Kind of looks like puck Their where not really that good. The one over in Oak Park Mall I been going was much better then this one. Go back their a few times. More in the winter months for their soup. For Noodles and Company 1 out of 5 I give it a 2 out of 5.

Once again summer time is coming to a end. Rank up the top movies I seen this year in the summer of 2016. Been doing it since back in 2008 on Myspace the movies back then are Iron Man, The Dark Knight and Hellboy 2 The Golden army. Last years movies are The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jurassic World and Ant Man. Now those are the movies I have seen in the summer 2016. Let you know I have not seen The Purge: Election Year and did not Find Dory yet.

In memery of Max one of are pugs.

A day ago we lost another pet of are's Max one of are pugs that he was the brother of Rosco. We had both of them about 7 years ago from now from a woman who was watching over a bunch of kids. Got them months after when are Jack Russell terrier died when we just moved to Kansas City, Ks not to long ago. They where both hyper pugs. Fight over each chuddar when one is being petted. Max always been their with it's brother. He was getting to be a old dog. Most pugs don't live that long. a day ago we found him on the side of the gate in the back yard. For now we only have Rosco left. This year lost Sophie are cat and the biggest lost is my mom this year back in April. R.I.P. to Max are pug died in August 26, 2016.

Independent Food Critic: Red Robbin Gourmet Burgers

This is another review for the month of August of this year from now. Had not did another review on the same month for a while. Today had ate at the Red Robin on 95th street over in Overland Park, Kansas. Been knowing about Red Robin for a while known for it's gourment burgers and bottomless steak fries. Another place that is like Applebees. Red Robin was pretty good. Had one of the burgers from the side menu it was the Buz Mac and Cheese burger had it with steak fries their streak fries where also good with it's seasoning on them. They had all kinds of different ways of burgers on that menu like Ruby Tuesdays dose. Had the big Buz Mac and cheeseburger with one single big patty. Had Mac and Cheese on it not much like from the pitcher on it with a spicy sauce in it. Red Robin is pretty good some place I would go to. If I am in that area or close to one. The prices are right around 10 something dollars. Besides have some now way to pay for it on a touch screen similar to what Applebees has. Do still pay with cash then card. 1 out of 5 I give Red Robin a 4 out of 5.

Independent Food Critic: Twisters Grill and Bar (Bonner Springs, Ks)

This is the review I have for the month of August of this year from now. Was out for a drive stop by a local place at a strip mall in Bonner Springs, Ks. Where it is mostly where the locals go such as family and bikers go to. I had their French dip sandwich with fries it was alright just a French dip nothing to existed about have some a bits of meat in the Au jus dose look like a peasants soup was not the most filling meal ever. The place was OK nothing to have a rush to come back if I am in that area. Mostly the same like any locale bar and grill such as Johnny's west and Dannys. Seem like they have a special for tacos on that day. See a lot of gust having tacos their it was a bit busy. Mostly the place I would go to in Bonner Springs, Ks is Papa Bobs, The Mexican place I like their and the KFC with the buffet. For Twisters 1 out of 5 give it a 3 out of 5. Into driving Silver Spyder with roof down

 

This is the first post in the month of August of this year right now. Going to write about something I been enjoying. Going out for a drive in Silver Spyder is a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder I had over a year by now. Had did some post's about it before back when it was not to long ago I ever got this car. I really have enjoyment with it by driving with the roof down. Doing out for drives all over in the KC area. Some of the things I have enjoyment of do some running around with it by stop at places to go. Even if I had this car for over a year by now still really like this car a lot. Still fun to drive with roof up. But it is more funner with the roof down what you should do if you have a convertible.

Into R.C. Boat's

Right now the R.C. hobby I am into now is R.C. Boats

 

 

This is the RC Boat I have and been playing with

 

 Right now I am into driving R.C. Boat at the lake a few times. The R.C. boat is have and the one I been playing with is a UDI001Venom. About the UDI001 it is a smaller R.C. boat that dose drive pretty fast for a boat that size. Dose not really revers well almost any thing would have its ups and downs. One of the best things is it beeps lets you know when the battery's get low to drive it back to land. then it goes dead in the middle of the lake to half to swim for it, Take a fishing pole fish for it or have a RC Tug boat to bring it in. It is a fun boat to drive been driving it at the children's fishing pound at the lake most of the time if some one is not their fishing. This is the R.C. hobby I doing right now. Their well be other kinds I well be doing. Have a bigger R.C boat for a 11 years that's how long its been since I drove it in Big Lake back when I was living in my home town of Council Bluffs, Ia.

Independent Food Critic: Dave and Busters Re-Review

This is the review in July for now. Today I ate at the Dave and Busters in Legends Outlet in Kansas City, Ks. Gave it a 3rd try eating their then just playing their. The last re-review was back in 2013. Still not to big with their food at this place. Had the Bar Burgers and Wing platter served with fries. The Bar Burgers are mini cheeseburgers the burgers are small kind like the ones from Burger King and Logons Roadhouse that is not really at the speed way any more. The wings I kind did like them the best mostly just buffalo wings bone in ones. A bit crispy mostly plane regular buffalo sauce on them. Dave and Busters the food still is not really the best all ways have a lot on their menu still a bit prices. It well be a while before I ever eat their again. More times I well just stick with Applebees. For Dave and Busters once again 1 out of 5 I give it a 2 out of 5.

I also went to play some games their even played the new Ghostbusters game. Mostly like the adult Chuck E Cheese. A few times go their to play then eat. Power Play has more things their and even a Pizza Buffet do that one some time soon. Well do other places to eat reviews and more post's soon. For Now Keep on eating!

It was the decade of Grunge Rock that came from Seattle same with Microsoft and Starbucks had emerge from that city. Got a bit more modern with this decade. Before the 1980's it was the 1970's where it was the decade with disco, A-Tracks, Trans am, Pong, A big celebration of 4th of July when the US became 200 years old and Jim Jones that lead the Peoples Temple to South America.
