It is the official beginning of summer had did a post on the winter solstice before. Now it is on the summer solstice where it happens between June 20-22 during Litha wheel of the year. Where the earth's axles titles to the northern hemisphere that brings us the longest days of the year ever by having the sun as it's most powerful. Also in the southern hemisphere especially in Australia it is their winters. Thousands of years that it had been celebrated of the coming of summer. That has the gathering at Stonehenge to watch the sun rise. While Winter Solstice is the shortest days and summer solstice is the longest days that one tradition is still happening by this day are having bonfires to honor the sun. Do have dancing, singing and other rituals during bonfires that it suppose to scare bad spirits away and bring good fortunes. In paganism that it is the battle between the oak god vs the holly god. Mostly ways to enjoy the summer solstice is to spend outside to enjoy the summer after all and their are ones to pick flowers during this time. Also happens to be fathers day on this day to all of the father's who read this Happy Fathers day can spend fathers day by a bonfire after all.
