Today is Day of the Dead that is known in Spanish Dia los Mueros. Where it is a holiday that is celebrated in Mexico that starts from October 31st to November 2nd. It's where they honor their deceased love ones by placing candles and food for them on their graves that they clam that their love ones spirits come to visit them. Where they have sugar skulls that are resemble the person skull with them as candy made with decorations on it with mostly flowers. While for Halloween that the Jack O lantern is a symbol for that day the sugar skulls are the symbol of Day of the Dead. Do dress up for it with their faces panted as skulls. Have a celebration with a feast. Mostly Day of the Dead that goes on during the 1st and 2nd of November is similar to the Catholic holidays during that time of All Saints Day to pay respect to the love ones in Heaven by lighting candles on their grave and the 2nd of November is All Souls Day where they pay respect to the ones that had died are going to Heaven. Mostly Day of the Dead is celebrated mostly in Mexico. Where some of it's traditions came from the Aztecs. Day of the dead now is getting into celebrated in the U.S. that mostly most Mexicans are now in the U.S. that is getting a bit celebrated now in the U.S. like the same with Cinco de Mayo another Mexican based Holiday that I had wrote about in a previews blog. On this day of Day of the Dead that you may want to place sugar skulls and candles to pay respected to your love ones that had passed away that you will probably get a visited from them as a spirit. Let you all know this is the best what I know about Dia los Muertos known as Day of the Dead by my knowledge of what I know about. Also for a movie to watch on Day of the Dead I recommend The Book of Life.
